ACt Gala Dinner

The ACT Annual Gala Dinner 2009

Tuesday 22nd September, 7-11pm

The Old Hall, Kings College, Cambridge

The ACT Gala Dinner will be the corporate signature event for ACT in 2009 and is set to become an annual special event.  It provides an opportunity for our key supporters from the corporate sector, our major donors, committed donors and supporters to socialise and enjoy the setting and lecture – along with the excellent food and wine!

The event will be by invitation only and there will be limited places available.

The event will comprise a private drinks reception for all Gold sponsors, where they will gain exclusive access to the celebrity and notable speaker on the evening.

There will then be a lecture, video presentation, and celebrity auction.

“Our aim is to make the ACT Annual Gala Dinner a successful new annual event to create a format which effectively facilitates philanthropic and corporate networking opportunities.  It is to become the annual special signature event to showcase Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Case for Support.” Peter Dalton CFRE FFIA – ACT’s Fundraising Director.

Funds raised from this event will go towards supporting the 2020 Vision Campaign.

The 2020 Vision recognises the Trust as an existing academic clinical centre but places it in the context of the developing Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
The objectives of the 2020 Vision plans are to:

• expand local hospital service to meet population growth
• develop specialist services both regional and national – including space for the relocation of PapworthHospital to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus
• promote and develop NHS and other clinical teaching
• promote existing public sector biomedical research
• allow for the expansion of other on-site clinical support services
• develop existing links with commercial clinical research to investigate new treatment procedures/protocols for the long-term benefit of patients in the Cambridge area, the UK and abroad.
