ACT awards grants to applicants from Addenbrooke's Hospital
Any departments, wards or clinics within Addenbrooke's and its associated hospitals can submit a proposal to the Trustees showing an urgent need for funds to buy new equipment, undertake environmental enhancements or to support small projects. The proposal must show a strong outline on how the extra funding will benefit their patients and staff.
The ACT Trustees meet quarterly to review the proposals and award the grants.
Fundraising and charitable giving has enabled us to award grants of over £2 million to benefit more than 35 departments.

Grants awarded in 2007 totalled nearly £346,000.
Just a few of those successful applications include:
- equipment for Addenbrooke's Playscheme
- course fees for a Diploma in Hypnosis applied to Medicine
- salaries for a Biomedical Scientist and a Medical technical officer
- contributions to Addenbrooke's Archives and Addenbrooke's Art programme
- grants towards projects and research into Radiogenomics, coagulase-negative staphylococci, fasting tolerance and the risk of type 2 diabetes

If you work within Addenbrooke's or its associated hospitals, and would like to apply for a grant please see the Addenbrooke's Intranet (staff only).
