LEGACY
Addenbrooke’s Hospital was founded on a legacy of £4,767 left in 1766 by its namesake Dr John Addenbrooke. Legacies continue to play an important role in enhancing patient care at Addenbrooke’s.

Have you ever needed Addenbrooke's?
Now Addenbrooke's needs you.
We all need some help from medical professional at some point in our lives. Whether it's for a serious medical condition or a minor accident. The births of our children or saying goodbye to a loved one. At these times we'd give anything for the best medical care available.
The fact is, gifts left to Addenbrooke's in people's Wills make a huge difference to enhancing patient care – allowing us to offer the best treatment, delivered by the best staff, in the most modern facilities and with the most up-to-date equipment. We believe it's nothing less than every patients deserves.
You don't need to leave a fortune, or decided between Addenbrooke's and your family. But anything you leave will help Addenbrooke's to keep delivering the very best care to everyone who needs us – for generations to come.

Research is our cornerstone
Research is one of the most dynamic areas of Addenbrooke’s work. ACT provides two annual research fellowships made possible by donors’ gifts. There is scope for naming a fellowship in memory of a benefactor, which provides an ongoing commitment over a number of years.
“We are very grateful to Maxwell Charnley for leaving a legacy to Addenbrooke’s to implement the Charnley Dermatology Research Fellowship. This research funding will be invaluable to Dermatology to help provide treatments and possibly cures for dermatological conditions for patients at Addenbrooke’s and beyond.”
Dr Paul Norris, Consultant Dermatologist.

Specialist medical equipment
Your gift could help fund specialist pieces of medical equipment unavailable through NHS budgets, which enhance patient care, such as a portable CT scanner for Neurosciences.

Supporting patient welfare
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters ACT can support and promote the work of Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie Hospitals for the benefit of patients now and for years to come.

A legacy is an easy way to give, costing nothing in your lifetime. So if you don’t have a Will, or intend to update an existing one, please consider including Addenbrooke’s. Future generations will be so grateful for your consideration today.
