Friends Go Karting Event

A great evening was had by one and all. A good spread of food and beverages was offered through out the evening which was much appreciated by the eight teams as many had come straight from work. The young army recruits (two teams) from Bassingbourn Barracks tucked in heartily too.
 
Competition on the track was fierce and several carts were flagged into the 'sin bin' to cool down for a few minutes if they broke the strict safety rules. That also incurred a donation of £1 to the Friends of Addenbrooke's.
 
Spectators enjoyed keeping track of the teams' progress on the television monitors and prizes were awarded to the winners. The winning team were Price Bailey.
 
The money raised went to the new Child Day Care Centre.
