Sir Donald Sinden Becomes Legacy Ambassador

6 July 2009

The much loved star of stage and screen, Sir Donald Sinden, has taken on the role of Legacy Ambassador for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT).

Well known for his distinctive voice and commanding presence Sir Donald will be seen as the public face of a new ACT Legacy Campaign which aims to raise awareness of just how much difference a Gift left in a Will to Addenbrooke's and the Rosie can help in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of ill health in the future.

Dr Mary Archer, Chairman of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Deputy Chairman of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, said: “We are delighted that Sir Donald Sinden has agreed to support our Legacy Campaign.  An Ambassador Programme is a valuable element of the Campaign and Donald, who is a well respected, well liked media personality, is the perfect person to front this new initiative for us.”

Sir Donald said: “I am delighted to be involved with Cambridge University Hospitals and Addenbrooke’s. I’m sure you will feel just as pleased and proud to be an Ambassador.”
