Olivia Newton-John visited Addenbrooke's on Wednesday 14 January to lend her support to the Pink Rose Valentine's Appeal, raising money for breast cancer research.

The Pink Rose Valentine’s Appeal is a brand new fundraising campaign for breast cancer research which is backed by Olivia and a whole host of celebrities, including Joan Collins, Stephen Fry, Rachel Weisz, Felicity Kendal, Patricia Hodge, Tania Bryer, Pat Sharp and Rebecca Mader.

The Appeal asks people to 'give a little love' at Valentine's, or any other time throughout the year to help raise money for breast cancer research.

People can host a dinner, cocktails party, singles night or event of their choice and ask their guests to make a donation to the cause. In addition, electronic Valentine's cards from celebrity supporters can be bought from the Appeal website www.givealittlelove.com to send to your loved ones.

Olivia spent time in the Cambridge Breast Cancer Research Unit based at Addenbrooke's, to see where the money raised is being spent and to hear about how this vital innovative research can benefit breast cancer patients both nationally and internationally, and then visited patients receiving chemotherapy in the Oncology Unit.
